In order to drive innovation in medical diagnostic technology and promote the development of the healthcare industry, X Institute of Medicine and Health, BioGerm was established by Shanghai BioGerm Medical Technology Co., Ltd. in collaboration with research institutions and relevant enterprises in July 2023. The institute aims to accelerate the construction of upstream and downstream ecological chains by addressing common basic issues in the industry. It focuses on the R&D and upgrading of key raw materials and underlying core technologies, accelerating the transformation of industry-university-research cooperation, deepening the underlying technologies, promoting interdisciplinary integration of the industry, and cultivating a multi-level talent pool as the primary responsibility. The institute is dedicated to becoming a significant hub for innovation in medical diagnostic technology, with these responsibilities at its core.

    The shape of X is similar to the structure of nucleic acids, which represents the future and hope, as well as signifying collaborative efforts across various fields, disciplines, and elements. The establishment of the institute highlights Biogerm’s commitment and vision to deepen the underlying core technologies, lay the foundation for innovation, and improve talent development and collaborative exchanges.

    The X Institute of Medicine and Health, BioGerm has formed an Academic Committee of senior researchers from the medical and health industries. The First Academic Committee, led by a Chinese Academy of Sciences academician, comprises 5 expert members from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Fudan University, Tongji University, and East China University of Science and Technology.
